If you were afraid Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis would turn down the difficulty, recent comments by the game’s devs seem to suggest otherwise. In a recent interview with Jeff Adams, Crystal Dynamic’s experience director, he wanted to make sure the game had plenty of self discovery and moments that led to feelings of real adventure.
We celebrate those moments to say, ‘Hey, let’s not hold your hand. Let’s let you go out there and hunt around, maybe find some stuff that you weren’t expecting to find,’”
“That’s the idea, to have that sense of ‘be adventurous, go out, explore, get on your own, get lost, then find your way back.’ And that gives a lot of reward just by traversing the world.”
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure reimagining of the iconic 1996 debut title. In Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, players will step into the boots of Lara Croft as she embarks on a treacherous globe-trotting quest to discover the lost secrets of Atlantis, with jaw-dropping visuals, modernized gameplay, and new surprises that honor the spirit of the original game. Immersive environments, familiar puzzles redefined with new mechanics, and unforgettable moments - like the epic battle against the T-Rex - are transformed as cinematic gameplay encounters on a grand scale. This is the legendary adventure fans remember, reimagined in ways that weren’t possible before, and with new surprises.
