Story
Anniversary’s narrative weaves together the threads of the original game’s events and Lara’s mission to rescue her mother, a storyline introduced in Tomb Raider Legend. Similar to TR1, Lara embarks on a quest for the Scion, a mystical artifact with origins in the lost continent of Atlantis. However, this time, her pursuit is not merely for sport, she perceives the Scion as a repository of ancient knowledge capable of unraveling the mystery surrounding her mother’s disappearance.
To align with the Legend Avalon storyline, certain plot elements from the first game have been subtly adjusted. The Lara of Anniversary shows a more sentimental side compared to the classic games. Her pursuit of the Scion becomes a matter of life and death, blending physical challenges with emotional and moral struggles that add depth to her character.
