Top Cow Productions operated a shared universe across their major titles — Witchblade, The Darkness, Fathom, Magdalena — and Lara Croft crossed into that universe on four occasions. These crossover issues pair her with characters from other Top Cow properties in stories that require some knowledge of both franchises but generally stand on their own as action-adventure comics.

The most significant of these crossovers is the Witchblade/Tomb Raider encounter, which paired Lara with Sara Pezzini (the NYPD detective who wields the supernatural Witchblade gauntlet) in a story that played on the contrast between the two characters — one defined by ancient supernatural power she never asked for, the other by the relentless self-made pursuit of it. The pairing worked well enough that it was revisited across multiple publications.

The remaining crossovers brought Lara into contact with other corners of the Top Cow universe to varying degrees of success. For collectors of either the Tomb Raider line specifically or Top Cow’s output more broadly, these four issues represent the points where Lara’s world intersects most directly with the wider fictional universe Top Cow constructed during this period.

These issues are generally the rarest and most sought-after physical publications from the Top Cow Tomb Raider run.
