Story
Tomb Raider III Remastered is part of the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection, released on 14 February 2024 by Aspyr Media. The remaster brings the most expansive classic-era Tomb Raider game to modern platforms, fully rebuilt with contemporary visuals.
Tomb Raider III Adventures of Lara Croft is notable for its non-linear structure — after the Indian opening chapters, players can choose the order in which they tackle the next three regions: the South Pacific, Nevada, and London. Each hub offers a distinct visual style and gameplay focus, before the story converges on a stunning finale in Antarctica.
The game’s plot centres on four meteorite fragments with extraordinary properties, scattered across the globe following the Antarctic impact of a mysterious space rock. Each fragment has warped the people who came into contact with it, and Lara must retrieve all four before they fall into the wrong hands.
As with the other entries in the remaster collection, Tomb Raider III Remastered features toggleable classic and remastered visuals, optional modern controls, full achievement support, and performance improvements across all modern platforms. The remaster faithfully preserves all 20 levels, all secrets, and all the fearsome difficulty that made the original both notorious and beloved.
