Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics are working on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a stunning reimagining of Lara Croft’s defining 1996 debut adventure. The game will launch Feb. 12, 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, but it turns out Nintendo fans will get a version of Lara’s latest adventure that’s being handled by a different team.
In a chat with Nintendo-Online, the dev team behind Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis confirmed that the Switch 2 release is being worked on by an “external partner.” The team said that they’re working “very closely” with that partner to ensure the “best port possible and maintain the experience.” The dev team refrained from revealing just what team is working on the Switch 2 version.
