Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagining of the 1996 genre-defining game, is currently on track for a Switch 2 release on February 12th, 2027. If you’re curious about the behind the scenes process of what parts of a game are finished in what order prior to release, a recent post shared by voice actor Alix Wilton Regan should give you some insight.
Alix Wilton Regan is the new voice of Lara Croft in this remake, and she’s just shared on Instagram that she’s wrapped recording on “the last official session” for the main game of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. According to her post, her journey with the game began all the way back in 2022, and only just now has the bulk of her work been finished.
Regan specifies that this only concludes her work for the “main game”, as she will still need to return to the recording booth for additional pickups, and bugs that might need fixing. Still, it’s an exciting milestone for the project! We’ll get to experience all of Regan’s work when the game is released next February.
