Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Gets TressFX Update on Nintendo Switch 2

Aspyr lived up to its promise to update the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, as a patch has just been released which adds TressFX.

The inclusion of TressFX was one of the biggest player requests from the port. Up until today, it was missing in the game. TressFX is notable since it’s used to render and simulate Lara Croft’s hair more realistically.

Aspyr put out a short video today for the update, which we have below. It shows a comparison with and without TressFX in use.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is out now on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. However, note that the update is only for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game.

Both platforms saw version 1.0.2 earlier this year. In case you’re wondering what that included, check out the patch notes here.

Will you be revisiting the game with the new TressFX functionality? Let us know in the comments.
