Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming remake of 1996’s Tomb Raider game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, has reportedly been delayed till 2027.
This comes at a time when Crystal Dynamics has just conducted its fourth redundancy round in the last 12 months. However, the studio did say back then that it “remains fully committed to the future development of our already announced Tomb Raider titles.”
| Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was announced during The Game Awards 2025, along with Tomb Raider: Catalyst. The title is supposed to be a “reimagining” of the 1996 game, and was slated to come out sometime in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S. |
In Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, players take on the role of Lara Croft and explore “exotic locations lost to time”.
